There are two things in life that Lina really enjoys..food and money! Known as the bandit killer or the dragon spooker, Lina loves nothing more than beating up gangs of bandits and stealing what they stole, or stuffing her face at a restaurant! Lina travels with Gourry or Naga, and sometimes Amelia and Zelgadis, Sylphiel, or Filia(depending on which Slayers series or movie youre watching ^^,,,).

Lina is probably the most powerful sorceress youll ever find. Shes one of the few that can perform really strong spells, like the Dragon Slave and the Ragna Blade. She can also unleash the most dangerous spell of all, the Giga Slave! Linas got a temper as hot as the Fire Balls she throws, and she thinks nothing of beating up anyone who gets in her way(or interferes with her meals!) But as much as Lina tries to hide it, she does have a caring side to her. Shes dedicated to her friends, and even though she beats up on Gourry for being a total idiot, its obvious that she loves him! ^_^

Gourry Gabriev

Specialty: Wielding the Sword of Light

When Gourry saved Lina from a gang of bandits, he thought he was saving a pretty girl, not a flat-chested little kid(as he put it ^^,,,) But after meeting Lina and seeing that she was all by herself, he decided to make it his duty in life to be her protector(not that Lina needs a protector). Throughout all of their adventures, Lina and Gourry became inseparable comrades(even though neither of them will admit that they love each other ^_^)

Anyone who knows Gourry knows that hes not exactly the brightest candle on the cake, so to speak. The poor guy usually doesnt have a clue about what Lina and the others are talking about! But when it comes to fighting with his Sword of Light, Gourrys quite skilled.

Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun

Specialty: White Magic

Amelia is the princess of Seyruun City, daughter of Prince Philionel. Her main goal is to advocate the virtues of justice(and shes quite enthusiastic about! ^^) When she saw what a skilled sorceress Lina is, she decided to follow Lina so that she could be a good sorceress, too. At first, Lina wasnt too thrilled with having the hyper-active, justice-loving princess as her apprentice. But Lina eventually warmed up to Amelia and, along with Zelgadis and Gourry, the four became an unbeatable team(Amelia also developed a little crush on Zelgadis! ^_^).

Zelgadis Greywoods

Specialty: Shamanist Magic

Zelgadis wanted power more than anything else. When he was young, he trained with his sword all the time. One day, he was approached by the mysterious Red Priest, Rezo. Rezo promised Zelgadis power, and he accepted. But what he didnt know was that in giving him power, Rezo had turned him into a chimera, making him part golem, part demon, and part human, with rocky skin and wire hair. Ever since then, Zelgadis main goal in life was to search for a way to turn himself back into a normal human. At first, he appeared to be villainous character, but Lina soon discovered that Rezo was the real enemy.

Zels a great swordsman and sorcerer, but I guess you could say that he has a reputation for being overly serious. While Lina and Gourry(and sometimes Amelia) are busy stuffing their faces and fighting over food, Zel just sighs and wonders how he got stuck with such misfits! ^_^ But as time went on, he became a valuable comrade to Lina, and he was more open to friendship(he also gained a subtle, but cute little crush on Amelia ~^^~).

Sylphiel Nels Lahda

Specialty: Healing Magic

Sylphiel lived in Sairaag City with her father. She had known Gourry for a while, and had developed a big time crush on him! When Copy Rezo destroyed Sairaag with his power, Sylphiels father was caught in the blast!(Poor Sylphiel! 8_8) But despite her distress, Sylphiel was able to save Linas life with her healing magic, and lead her to the Bless Blade. Lina was then able to use the Bless Blade to destroy Copy Rezo and Zanaffar.

Sylphiel is extremely gentle and she doesnt seem to have a mean bone in her body. But shes also a bit frail and emotionally unstable. I guess you cant really blame her since she had to suffer through the loss of her city and her father. However, she was able to act strongly when Phibrizzo had kidnapped Gourry. Even though Sylphiel and Lina are complete opposites in personality, theyre great friends(And they both love Gourry! ~^^~).

Martina Xoana Mel Navratilova

Status: Princess of Xoana

Martinas father was the king of Xoana(though she was usually the one to give the orders!) They were planning to build up an extremely powerful army for world conquest. However, their plans were thwarted when Amelia arrived and told them that their army build up had surpassed what their treaty had allowed, and that they should cease at once. But when they kidnapped Amelia, Lina came to the rescue and blew the kingdom to bits with her Dragon Slave(everyone had evacuated except Martina and the king). Ever since then, Martina vowed to kill Lina for revenge. Using her obsession with her own made-up monster, Zomelgustar, Martina was even able to put a curse on Lina! The two became fast rivals and they never saw eye-to-eye until the final battle where everyone had to come together to fight Phibrizzo.

You kind of have to feel sorry for Martina. She lost her kingdom, every man she had ever fallen in love with either disappointed her or ended up being a monster, and in her fights with Lina shes usually the one to get the most damage. But Martina does recieve happiness in the end. She returns to a newly-built Xoana and marries Zangulus. ^_^
