I felt fresh and alive. A crack of light told me that the heavy winter curtains were drawn to keep out the daylight. I opened the curtains, looked out of the window at a beautiful sunny day and yelled "Yes." Gourry and Amelia broke in to see whether I was all right. There was a look of worry on Amelia's face, probably about last night. I would not let everyone get mushy over me so I asked, "What's for breakfast?" Amelia answered, "She's back," and smiled. Gourry wanted to know whether I had ever left? So I asked, "When is breakfast?"
"Freshen up, lunch will be in one hour" replied Amelia.
Compared to yesterday, everything was business as usual at the palace. It was a casual lunch, only Zelgadiss and Gourry had joined me.
I asked, "Where are Amelia and Sylphiel?" Zelgadiss, answering for everyone, "At the temple, we all had to take turns going through a private ceremony. The odd thing was, having Xelloss show up at the end, for each of us."
They each looked confused, but I (Lina) understood. It was what I had gone through last night, just to be safe.
"What did they do?" Showing my interest and concern and not letting on about last night.
Gourry smiled and said, "Tickled me."
Thinking to myself, to each the pain accordance to their own ability.
Zelgadiss putting down his cup of coffee, "We were told that if you (Lina) could take it we could, by the way, our meeting with Phillionel is at 3: pm tomorrow."
Zel left in a solemn mood while Gourry just watched. I asked Gourry if he wonted some lunch? "No thanks," was his reply and ate only a single leg of my chicken anyway. It relay takes the fun out of it when they let me have the last piece. Gourry just smiled as I said, "another plate for Lina, Please."
